Our CMGS and VC-2 Controllers have been a great success but we wanted to make an already great value even better. Recently we have made some substantial changes to the CMGS. The enclosure is now 100% CNC machined Billet Anodized Aluminum. This makes a huge difference in the quality and appearance of the CMGS.
Recently we have release CMGS-FS V105. With the new flash we carry over all the great features of the CMGS, but now add failsafe in the CMGS directly. This means you do not need anything other than the CMGS and a flow sensor. This gives you a boost gauge, flow gauge, progressive controller and failsafe all in one 52 MM gauge.
We had 4 things in mind for the CMGS-FS BMW Kit:
1. SIMPLICITY:
We wanted this to be simple, effective and easy to use. Also, it needed to allow for the cleanest possible install. When considering systems on the market to see the advantage of the CMGS is simple. Competing systems on the market would make you buy a progressive controller (typically about 3.5 inches X 3.5 inches). you would need to buy the failsafe module (typically about 4 X 3 inches), you would need to buy a 52 MM flow gauge and finally if you want a boost gauge you would need to buy that. The CMGS-FS combines all 4 into 1 neat package. If you love your boost gauge and dont need another, you can configure the CMGS to display pump dutycycle or voltage instead of the boost. In addition to all of that the CMGS can inject based on just boost, just MAF or boost and MAF at the same time. other progressive controllers give the option of one or the other.
2. Adjustablility:
We made certain the CMGS has a number of adjustable params. This makes the All-in-one CMGS more flexible. These will be discussed later.
3. Quality:
We will not compromise on quality. The CMGS is all CNC machined, the pump is our 250 psi pump, our new high pressure hose and other upgrades are included.
4. Value:
With all of the features and performance of this system, the value will be obvious.

FEATURES:

Included:
The new CMGS-FS kit will include the following:
13 PAGE INSTALL GUIDE for the BWM N54 Platforum with PICTURES.
135I/335I Specific Install Guide
high pressure 200-250 psi pump
no tank, 1 gallon tank or 1.5 gallon trunkmount tank
Turbine Based Real Time Flow sensor
low level fluid indicator
Water Filter
2 injector nozzles
60 feet of wiring
zip ties
electrical connectors
15 feet of high pressure semi-clear nylon hose
15 feet of boost line (for trunkmount kits, 7 feet for underhood kits)
CMGS controller (including failsafe ability, progressive controller, boost display and flow display).
Fluid Control Device (solenoid or checkvalve)

How does it work?
Most of you are familiar with how the CMGS can be "programmed". Its a simple matter of just turning the knobs into configuration mode and setting values. Here are some videos to get an idea. Please note that some of these videos are of the first gen CMGS, it does not have the new CNC enclosure.

CMGS videos

BUILT IN FAILSAFE
The failsafe configuration will work very similar. you will turn the min max knobs to 1 to get into the failsafe configuration mode. From there the failsafe options will show. The AUX output wire on the CMGS can be programmed in this mode to stay on unless there is a problem in which it will turn off...or it can stay off unless there is a problem in which it will turn on. Within the configuration you will easily set the flow threshold as well as the dutycycle threshold. If the params are not met the failsafe will trip.
FAILSAFE Configuration options:
1) Flow window. You can set the low and high flow.
2) you set the threshold of boost, voltage or dutycycle.
3) you set the AUX wire as Normally Closed or Normally Open.
If the system theshold has been met and you are not within the flow window your failsafe will trip. If your low level sensor is installed and you are low on fluid it will trip as well. As well as your failsafe tripping, the CMGS gauge will give you an error code telling what the problem is. No more guessing as to what the problem is like with other failsafes on the market.
"000" Fluid level is low.
"001" Flow has dropped below the MIN flow threshold.
"002" Flow is greater than the MAX flow threshold.
"003" system is flowing when it should not be.
You can set the flow threshold from 100 to 2500 CC/M on the low and high.
Boost threshold can be set from 1 to 30 PSI
Voltage from 0 to 5 Volts (or the multiplied value)
Dutycycle from 1 to 100 %.

The low level fluid switch will activate the fault input when you are low on fluid. If the fault input activates, the failsafe will also trip. You can connect any third part device to this input as well to trip the failsafe.
DISPLAY
There are several values that will display on the CMGS at all times. Flow rate and your fault status and your choice of BOOST, PUMP DUTYCYCLE or VOLTAGE (such as MAF). Most customer will choose boost between them. Please note that flow rate will always be present along with one of the other choices.
Also, when you turn the MIN or MAX knob to set the MIN and MAX the value that you set will display on the screen for 3 seconds and then revert back to your boost, dc or voltage. If the failsafe is enabled and it trips it will flash the error code until the fault is restored (as well as tripping the actual failsafe wire)

Injection MODES:
With the 135I, you will inject based on boost on a progressive matter.

FLEXIBILITY:
We feel this makes a good case to be among the cleanest simple installs on the market especially since this combines a flow gauge, boost gauge, progressive controller and failsafe into one unit. No computer is required to program the failsafe, just navigate through a few menus. You can set the boost, dutycycle or voltage threshold as well as the low/high flow threshold or window. you can also set the AUX output wire (failsafe trigger) as normally open or normally closed. In otherwords you can turn it off if there is a failure or turn it on when there is a failure. When you are low on fluid it will also trip the failsafe.
If you have a progressive style kit from another manufacturer, you can replace the progressive controller with the CMGS and Flow Sensor as it is compatable. The CMGS can be used simply as a failsafe, flow gauge and boost gauge on an existing system as well.

This kit is 100% complete with the only options being tank size, CMGS bezel and display color. 2 injector choices, low level float switch, flow sensor, water filter, solenoid are all included. You will be able to see the flow rate in real time as well as your choice of boost, dutycycle or voltage. the low fluid level has a visual indication as well as failsafe status. Once the user manual and updated diagrams are available I will post them as well.
