Sorry to hear about the poor install. Yes, the bubbles must be on top according to the Mfg. Yes, the slats of the grille are not 90 degrees...I just made certain they were at the same height from the ground and in a straight line from left to right. I placed the ECU to the left and not directly under the steering wheel with the RJ12 jacks facing the engine. I prefer this so I connect my notebook easily if an update is warranted.
