Depends on where it was installed, I had the axleback of my exhaust written down as not installed by BMW(a BMW Performance Exhaust) and therefore not under BMW warranty... And then they fixed it under Good Will. (Still not sure what broke to be quite honest.) This exhaust exemption on my warranty didn't change anything because the next week they replaced my turbos for wastegate rattle.(which is definitely related to the exhaust)
