Hi everybody, as there were too much things to change in my first post, I decided to delete it completely and to re-do it again.
So, I'm a French 1 series driver. I'm 24 years old and actually studying engineering in the materials division.
Let's talk now about my ride ... It's a small 120d coupé with some mods. My final aim will be a complete M conversion (even for the engine). So, it came out of the factory in December 2009 with 177hp and 350Nm of torque, a gummy chassis and some awful stuff ...
Now after mapping, I have 225hp (I was told the BMC air filter will add some hp), and nearly 470Nm of torque. Now I have a little and enjoyable diesel for my daily driving. As I said, I plan to do a full M conversion as some other members here have done ... We will see in one year for the heaviest mods
I will list the mods instead of doing it chronologically :
- mapping Shiftech 222cv et 468Nm
- BMC air filter
- BMW Performance exhaust
- CDV
- Goodridge brake lines
- Motul RBF600
- BMW Performance strut brace
- BMW Performance side skirts
- BMW Performance like carbon diffuser
- Debadging
- BMW Performance carbon spoiler

- LCI Blacklines
- F21 M135i brakes with Endless MX72 pads

- ...
I did and I will do all the works on the car by my own in my garage. As I'm an engineering student and as I would like to work in the automotive brand, it could help me to win some experiment and to understand how things work
Now, some pics of the car :

Comments on the mods :
So, regarding all the stuff I did and the fact it was the first time I worked on a car, it's useless to say I'm very happy because I succeeded in all the operations
Now, the car feels very planted on the ground. I quite eliminated the body roll with the stiffer anti-roll bars. It's very impressive how you can feel the differences a bigger ARB can give !
The car feels more precise and the chassis is awesome. Only problem now : I feel the lack of power ... But still, I have some plans for that in a few months
So, what do you guys think ? Any input ? Any idea for the future mods ?
