I did not really like the way the car drove with that mini spare. The entire rear end would wiggle and jiggle all over the place. Made me think the rear end was gonna step out on me. That was the reason I bought a full size spare. Sure it takes up more room... but I feel safer especially when I am 500+ kms away from my home. I would just buy a spare ally wheel(even an aftermarket one) and mount the cheapest tire you can fin onto it. I went with a 7jx17 steel wheel ET48 (from an e46 330i) and a 205/50HR17 Semperit summer tire.
