Bump stops on factory 135i front struts?
I am trying to avoid buying new front struts for the car, as it is a low-mileage example, and the struts themselves have exhibit perfect compression/rebound in terms of life left in them, however, they are still soft, factory struts. Is it possible to add a bit of dampening force near the end of their travel by different bump stops? Spirited driving has shown that the front struts will hit full compression, and bottom out quite easily, which unnerves the car (and it's driver).
Bump stops which are slightly larger/taller, with a stiffer, progressive in hardness (or two piece?) rubber would be ideal, as it would act like a helper spring.
