If I understand correctly, a twin-scroll turbo is not the same as a regular single turbo. It has two exhaust inlets? As opposed to 1. One being smaller than the other. This allows for the smaller one to be open during low rpms for boost to be engaged early on, and the larger one to open up later in the range to keep boost going to redline. So it essentially gives twin turbo like power in one turbo. Not sure how these will tune out, I think the turbo itself is tuner friendly since it's a big aftermarket turbo style and Subaru uses it in a couple of their cars as well. The thing that will fustrate tuners the most will probably be the valving technology.
