I'd like to know about this too. I've had throttle and acceleration lag ever since I picked up my car new (2012 model built November 2011, delivered in December 2011). I'm guessing the DME in new cars comes programmed with the latest software upgrades but I don't know that for a fact. Anybody know about this?
