I was behind a 4 door Yellow e36 m3 the other day, made me wonder.
I still own the M3, the 1 is my wife's car. I haven't got to push her car yet but I get a sense of a shorter wheelbase, even though the M3 is shorter in comparison. It probably has something to do with whatever steering assist it has. The 1 rides a lot harsher too with the sports package. I think it's mostly from the run flats though. My wife tries to keep me away from the car as much as possible. One thing for sure is the M3 has a lost more room than the 1, specifically the trunk.
