When you make the throws shorter(no mater who's SSK you use...) you also will increase the force(s) needed to move the shift lever. I'd say with the Perf SSK the effort goes up some 30% or so. 1st/2nd slots are more notchy... but the rest is pure sex. very short and crisp throws. I really enjoy the 3rd/4th gates with the Perf SSK now.
I rememberd with my stock shifter... when I would change from 2nd to 3rd... it would feel like my hand would almost hit the console under the radio area. With the Perf SSK... the lever hardly moves. It has been said that the Perf SSK is one of the best mods you can do to a 135i. I agree 100% with that.
