Ha ha! Yes you're right of course because my NA MX-5 is unmodified and 17 years old! I started in front of Breville since we were parked in that order in the garage. He passed me soon after this on the straight and enjoyed a few traffic free laps.
BTW, don't be too smug about tardy MX-5s. Slap on a turbo, better suspension, LSD, and semislicks, and they'll do 1:53ish at Eastern Creek ... which is 135i territory, but for much less cash. No flame intended. I'm a big fan of both cars!
