Dont pull it out... just unscrew the 4 hex screws on the bumper then wedge it out a little and look down with a flashlight and you should see the clips. Use a 90 degree tool or one of those dentist scraper things and it should work out fine.
Just use the new grills as reference to where the clips are actually at. I only pulled out the top of the bumper to get the top clips and the one closest on the side near the middle. The bottom ones are easily gotten from the front.
