mine sounds exactly the same. there's like a million threads about this, no one has been able to fix it as far as i know...
it's due to thermal expansion i'm pretty sure. NEVER got it when it was under 68 degrees here.
try leaving your car in the sun for a while, then when you drive off keep the AC off (windows down so you don't die). you'll see how it will not pop
