He said you really aren't allowed to tint front windows at all. Youth, now, there is a tint that looks lighter, but in fact reduces UV, and infrared light. It works on windshields, so the inside of the car is significantly cooler. Been thinking of that for the Lotus.

Well some people do it for the looks. A clear film that rejects UV energy doesn't necessarily give you that. VA laws are pretty lame, 50%, c'mon thats nothing. Although this is the first I've heard of some one getting busted for 35. Usually 35 seems to be ok all the way around.
