This Power Kit contains the same engine performance software as Version 1, plus an Auxiliary Water Cooler and an Enhanced Radiator Fan to reduce the higher thermal stresses on the engine during extreme driving. The Performance-Optimized Engine Software provided by the Version 2 Power Kit increases torque to 332 lb-ft (automatic transmissions) or 317 lb-ft (manual transmissions) available from just 1,500 rpm. Power output is increased by 20 horsepower, from 300hp to 320hp. *The BMW Performance Power Kit is only applicable to vehicles equipped with option code 840 (high speed limiter). This Power Kit is only for vehicles with the MSD81 DME (vehicles produced from 03/2008 are normally equipped with MSD81). Vehicles with the MSD80 DME will require a new engine control module. The necessary replacement DME is included in Power Kit PN 11 12 2 157 664. Please confirm which DME is in the vehicle before ordering.
