Comparing 2,500 lbs. Miata to 3,400 lbs. 135i is probably not a good idea, but I have cited that same test many times before as well.
On my RSX (2,700 lbs.) I found the EBC Yellows to be great on the street and decent on the track. A very worthy dual-use pad if you don't mind lots of dust. However, on heavy braking tracks (Laguna Seca) the Yellows disappointed. I cooked them my last time out, and I'm a pretty tame driver including braking inputs. I swapped in my Hawk HP+ pads and they held up much better.
It's too bad because the Yellows are quite a bit cheaper. Maybe I'll give them a go on the 135i at Thunderhill which is much easier on brakes than Sears Point or LS.
