^yeah.. without having personal experience what i've gathered is just that you lose that (very fun and exhilirating) additional pull you get from being able to reach higher rpms in a petrol engine. which is the typical enjoyment of car enthusiasts as you mash the throttle all the way to redline around the track. personally, for a daily driver, i prefer low to midrange tuned performance - the type that i believe to be characteristic of a diesel.
