I already own a bmw an 07 X3 diesal I was told the car will tell me when it needs a service. My first service wasnt until I had done 32000km. I would expect that the 1 series would be the same since it does the same thing as my x3 when I start it. On the instrument cluster it says X number of km's before next service. Not sure if this applies to all 1er's
