I don't get the cosmetic part. 75mm+ studs make the car look like Roman fighting buggies and the 40mm nuts just look weird and "cheap" to me. Ok for a Civic, don't like the look on BMWs...

Nothing looks as good (and by that I mean near-invisible) as stock lug bolts.

I did the stud conversion on mine since I change wheels at least once a month (autocross/track) and it's much easier with studs. Since I don't like the Roman chariot look, I went with 57mm studs (3mm spacer up front).
