This owner bullshit seems to be getting out of hand. BMW NA needs to get involved.
On a practical
hypothetical (my dealer has been pretty straight and upfront with me so far) note: I would go back to my A4 till the Cayman refresh comes out (possibly with some mild hybrid flavor or a high power 4 cylinder). The Audi R4 could be another option.
Until BMW fixes the problem with their dealers, I would not give them any more business.
