Interesting dilemma but i think the 128i is probably your best bet.
E46 M3- requires more upkeep and is not really fuel efficient
E90 M3- almost the perfect car but it's a gas hog
E82 135i- great match however long term reliability is unknown
E82 128i- Probably the best match meets every category

Personally i would go with the 135i but I'm bias.
