He purchased it from the dealership for his own 335i, but sold the car and bought an M3, so he didn't need the part. It was out of return period but not out of warranty period. Since he was the original purchaser, they want him to do the return. They won't give him money back, but will replace it with another pump, which he said he'd just give to me since he has no need.
