I had a 2004 E46 325i that handled snow without any problems on its stock continental tires during the frequent and heavy snow storms we had from Dec 2003-March 2004... this was in Berkeley Heights, NJ..
In fact that car handled snow much much better than my 2003 E320 which is a heavier car
