I see it one way, you see it another. I have purchased things locally from all sorts of places and never had an issue until now and I bet this is the first time you physically damaged an item in the dark in front of a buyer. No one I have ever purchased from locally ever physically dropped the item in front of me and put me into a situation where I had to make a split decision in the dark.
