With almost 4 years on the road and over 45k miles, I love my 128i. I drive it in my commute and enjoy getting in it day after day. No troubles from the legendary BMW N/A inline six with plenty of power for daily driving and fun twisties blasting.
Since I was planning on long term ownership, I stayed away from the potential concerns of the turbo. I'm sure the 135i is fun, and that the power is addicting, but I am very happy with the power and handling balance of the 128i as it is. This is a very underrated car.
I took the delta between the 128 and 135 price and got a good used Triumph Bonneville. Would do the same thing again.
