While I am glad to see the M divsion tweaking the 1er, I am not quite impressed with the preliminary explanation of the product.
- 350 hp. With the JB3 the 135 is easily at this level.
- M rear diff. With a Wavetrac unit, we can have LSD too.
- Bigger intercooler. Available through aftermarket for 135.
- M supsension. Throw some KWs on your 135.
- Aggressive front bumper/spoiler. Yeah....me likes!!!
Guess I am saying that most of these results can be achieved through bolt-ons for the 135 for about $5000. Bet ya it won't have the crappy RFTs. Surprised they did not mention any efforts to reduce weight from the current 135. If they could bundle all this together and keep it under 3000 pounds that would be a huge sell point.
That said, if I did not already own a 135 I would certainly be looking at the M1. Price we pay for being 'early adopters'.
