It comes from them with just the hood. I bought 1 M3 hood strut. You can use 1 of our OEM struts, but its still a bit too strong. I ordered the M3 hood strut for like $60 for one, which is made for the aluminum M3 hood, pretty close in weight. Its what others are supposed to use.
Other than that all you need is the latch, but it uses the OEM latch (2 screws) from your OEM hood for better fitment/safety etc.
I think it would look good on black. I'm a carbon fiber addict so I think it looks good on anything, but it was too noticeable on my white car for where I work.
