yes, they are. However, you do not want too large of a rear bar on the E8x and E9x chassis, especially if you do not have a limited slip diff. The inside tire will try to lift off of the ground in a hard turn and you will have a great loss in traction.

If you must have larger rear bar, set it at full soft or just run the slightly larger E90 or E93 M3 rear bar and an aftermarket adjustable front bar.
