Autotune only operates when at high boost levels... so it will not do much when cruising around town. It works quickly if doing a 3rd gear pull... normally a few 3rd gear pulls is enough for it to autotune to current conditions. Also, the Autotune currently resets when you change maps. So maybe you had autotuned map 1 and it went down from target due to fuel/temps, and thena fter you changed to map 2, it had not autotuned yet, so ran the normaly 14.5psi.
