I'm not so sure about that. When I insured mine and gave them the VIN, my insurance came back and identified it as a 135is. There may be some identifier when you run the VIN for option codes? |
My insurance (Geico) didn't distinguish mine as an "is". This is what I have heard and found out after getting about 10 or so quotes. None of which distinguished the car as an "is" even though I clearly stated it was.
