The reports seem to indicate this works on e46 3 series but not e90s. Seems worth a try. The temperature warning may or may not be in Kombi for us, you might have to look around.

Pardon the ignorance, but what is a "KOMBI"?
The only combi I know is what they in Brazil (and in other parts of the world) called a VW microvan.
