Tested it on my FRM2 (2008 135) and no go. The driver's side doesn't move outwards. I know it works on an FRM3 (my wife's 2011 335i, which actually came with it enabled). And comparing the two side by side, it is a noticeable change on the left side low beam and the height of the high beams.
I'm not giving up yet on my FRM2...just isn't as easy as I thought it might be.
