He is only half right. Since it is running an auto-clear, your car will never generate Readiness and they will tell you to drive around or they will drive it around until it is ready. (It will never be because each time you autoclear you start a new cycle.) AFAIK from what I have read around here a Cobb unit will not help pass an OBDII emissions test(even for me on the N54 platform).
