Yeah, the lag seems to be an attempt to make the gear changes as smooth as possible. Sport mode makes the changes a bit harsher but throttle pickup is much improved.

It seems overactive to me. If I drop my foot it will kill the throttle at the smallest sign of rear wheel slip. With it turned off, but DTC still on, I get just the right amount of back end "looseness" for a bit of spirited street driving.

More importantly, if I put my foot down in an emergency to get out of the way of another car I know that it's not gonna kill the power and just sit there like a lump...
