the gearing in the STi transmissions is increadably short compared to the 135. that's why i think they keep up with the 135.
you change gears 3 times before you hit 60 mph. when i did my transmission swap, i hated the first and second gears in the car. i'd spin all 4 tires in first because it was geared so short, so i had to roll the car forward, put it in second, then hit the gas.
