I read through tons of reviews and narrowed down my choices (both are non-run flat) to the following:
1) Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4
2) Michelin X-ice 3

Initially, I was going to get the PA4's as I wanted to maintain a more sporty feel but I made a last minute decision to get the X-ice3.

In the winter, my most critical concern is traction. It's not like I'll be enjoying the car to the full potential on ANY winter tires so I figured I would suck it up and get a tire that would give me the utmost traction on the worst winter days.

It also depends on where you live and what kind of winters you have. Where I live, our winters can be very brutal and I don't ever want to be put in a position where I have to debate on whether I can drive out or not because of how much snow or ice there is outside.

I will be mounting the tires on my stock OEM style 261M wheels. Size all around will be 225/40/18.
