I don't think many good winter tires offer the OEM front sizing (215/40/18) which makes it tough to obtain the same tire sizes as your summer OEM setup.
I believe a more narrow tire in the winter will help you 'cut' through snow more effectively. 225/40/18 will fit on your staggered 261M style wheels.
