This is despite the fact that the car's documentation mentions the switch (!). So much for me RTFM and assuming the car has what's described in the doc (just like the high beam assist BTW).

Not sure if I am not understanding you but I just pulled my switch out and everything is there. I cant confirm that it works because I have to cut the tabs to make the buttons functional, but internally it appears everything is there for it to work.
Ill go ahead and cut the tabs and see if it works.
