Here is what the warning looks like in the iDrive screen if anyone is interested.
My problem started a couple of days earlier, the car was shuddering a bit under acceleration. Funny thing was I always use Petro Canada (Formerly Sunoco) 94 gas, and my issues started after I got half a tank of Petro Canada 91 in a pinch.
The car basically stopped working accelerating from a light, the warnings came on and the car immediately went into limp mode. Unlike these pussies;

I never felt 'afraid for my life', however I am glad it did not give out on the highway.
Dealing with the problems is also half a day out of your life that you won't get back.
I will say the level of service I received at Endras BMW was far superior to BMW Toronto, it took 2 days to get everything done, apparently they had to change my fuel injectors too. They provided me with a loaner (mini cooper). so that part was painless...
I am thinking of buying a second home in Arizona, if I do, I will be buying my next car in the US.
