Does anyone know a BMW tech in the US who can answer a critical question for us:
For US cars, is the key fob security code available on the OBD port, or do you have to contact BMW?
It is my understanding that anti-trust laws in Europe prevent manufacturers from doing this over there, but the same is not true in the US. I've seen a post by a VW tech claiming that they have to contact VWoA in order to get security codes.
