Just to share what I have been quoted by dealers:
My CBS indicated I need to replace/service 3 things:
Brake fluid
Engine oil/filter
Air filter.
I have been quoted by Bundoora BMW $700.
I have been quoted by Doncaster BMW Approx $600 (approximately as they don't give me a precice quote, he says bring the car in and we will see).
I have been quoted by Southbank BMW $495.

Try to negotiate with them over the service price mate. I have found that generally the place you buy your car from will take care of you better in terms of service pricing, spare parts, etc.
On a side note, i never knew that CBS shows the time for replacement of the air filter. Mine certainly doesn't show it. I remember reading somewhere on E90post that US cars show things like spark plugs as well?
