Anyone know of a problem with the brake light cover on the Vert boot (the long thin one above the BMW badge)?

I noticed a crack in it a few weeks ago (top to bottom, in the middle) and came out ot my car this morning and the whole fitting had come off.

At first I thought crooks may have pried it off in attempt to get to the lock mechanism, but there is no sign of damage.

Guess Il have to tape it off to stop rain getting in until I can get it replaced.
