You will start to find the the Ducati is starting to do in the 9s now as well, but not as easy as the S1000RR (need talent )

I personally don't think it will be faster then the S1000RR down a straight line, but where r u going to pull those speeds? not even on a track can u hit 280+ unless you are very very talented or has balls of steel here in SYD

on the road the Ducati is much eaiser to ride due to weight and where the weight is, I mean its 14kg heavier then your bike but with extra 114KW
