I did my own instal using the betalink supplied by BMW.
The fit and finish is perfect and the end result is rock solid without any of the movement associated with 3M tape. There is no gap between the boot and the spoiler and I'm very happy with the result.
It was the first time I've attempted something like this but I must have gotten lucky.
What I did do though was get someone to help me position the spoiler while I applied long strips of tape along the boot to the spoiler. That way once I was happy with the position I was able to fold the spoiler back on the boot to apply the beta link. The strips of tape acted like hinges and made sure that the spoiler was in the right position when I moved it back into place. Then I made fine adjustments and taped every thing down. The next morning I was good to go after removing the excess betalink that had squeezed out during the night.
