Yes. Long long wait for parts, plus I was determined to restore it to better than new condition. The workshop guys took twice as long as a normal insurance type job ( all expense was out of my pocket ) in order to make it new again. Even the factory sealing was replicated using a new state of the art machine. All parts are BMW factory as are all glues, rivets, cleaners etc. I have even replaced some alloy suspension components, even though the old parts measure up as true, just to be sure that the job is thorough. All work was done at the Coast's premier BMW repair specialist. When I inspected the car today there were 4 Porsches, including a rare RSR racer and a cup road car, a smattering of BMWs, all in various states of repair and an exquisite 1962 Lancia Flaminia Zagato undergoing a respray.

I will post pics of the rebuild over the next few days.
