Are there any downsides to this mod in terms of wear and tear?
Also, can anyone give me advice on shifting technique until I can do this mod? I've alway shifted unscientifically, just using feel, which works fine in the family Volvo -- smooth as silk. But I can't for the life of me get a smooth shift into second in this car no matter what I do. It's driving me crazy.
