I think just the solenoids. Apparently they get gummed up with sludgy oil particles. The other stuff was because the valve cover gasket and camshafts were removed. I'm surprised that mine got gummed up though because I change my oil every 7500 miles.
I found a thread here where someone said to just replace them with the spark plugs every 50k miles or so.
