All along I was looking for a poor-mans PE. I ended up spending close to $500 for nothing. And in the end... I bought a Performance Exhaust... and never regreted doing so. THE PE is sooooo good to me ears. Quiet at part throttle yet perfectly loud at WOT. And people who follow me(other 135i owners & 1M woners) always tell me how GOOD my exhaust sounds. Im glad to took the plunge. Best money spent on my car.

Thanks for your reply. I didn't get the n55 mid-pipe that I first saw, but I got the section 1 and section 2 n-54 mid-pipes from Supersprint, sold by Turner. I already had Active Auto cat-less downpipes and their charge-pipe with a BOV (cool sounds!) and the bigger intercooler, which all gave me a great jump in power, (about 30 hp), but when I went to the new mid-pipes I think I got another 10-15!! Only problem was the smell and smoke. I put back part of the OEM midpipe with the secondary cats and the problem went away. Now I am waiting for a Corsa PE muffler and hope I get the same great sound as you!
