The German Polizei set up these mobile camera units on top of the bridges on the Autobahns. The road has some white painted strips and they use three cameras(two mounted atop of the bridge) and one mounted down bellow on the middle guard rail - to video the driver.

These cameras are hard to detect, especially when your driving in excess of 200+ kph!

The Law says you MUST have half your tacho(speedo) speed in meters. So IF you are driving 200 kph, you need(at least) 100 meters of safe distance. IF they catch you with less... it can be very expensive(and or) you can loose your driver's license for a few months.
