Track pad brake dust - won't come off.
I recently aquired a 135i with ~23k on the odo.
The PO has Hawk DTC track pads front and rear.
I'm trying to detail the wheels, but I can't get some of this brake dust off.
The best success I had was with a headlight resto-kit foam pad in a portable drill, combined with some mothers wax. It got them cleaner, but I still can't get some of the deep stuff off.
The wheel faces are pretty good / ok, but the insides are terrible (see pics).
Any suggestions? I read in another thread that over cleaner might work, but I'm afraid to try anything that caustic.
